For All Users setting you will need to run the application with administrative rights.

Note: In WM7 you can use the native interface for adding or removing custom start menu tiles.
For VMC you can do it via registry keys or use Advent's MC Menu Mender. MC Menu Mender is a resource editor and has many options for customizing VMC but is not MC7 compatible yet.

This application is for Windows 7, it will detect MC7 or VMC and show the appropriate menus.

Yes I will be, it was requested earlier on tgb. It is already being tested by a few people and I'll probably publish this weekend.

An addendum:
Meanwhile(?) you can disable completely all menu strips (internal and extra ones) in RC without crashing the shell.
It would be nice if the user created strips could be dynamically detected and offered for deactivation.
hi, this is great, just what i need. is there any way to use this app to restrict the menus on an extender? i have managed to setup the start menu just how i want it, now i need to transfer this to the extender user, while keeping the full menus on the main pc.

the app is very useful along with the registry file to be able to check where and what registry key values to modify for each menu...
just want to ask, where can we find the registry keys, ie. {2139548f-cebe-4d4f-9319-4d4b93fc08f5}, for the application/internal that corresponds to a menu entry? just want to dig and learn more about registry tweaking features...

Hi Mark, it is a stand-alone application. You just download and run. If you want to make changes to All Users make sure to right-click and "Run as Administrator".

what the heck.. I install this (win7 x86) and I can't find the program on my computer anywhere. It's not on my start menu. I check the folder it installed into and the program isn't there (Theres an xml and some other fix.exe thing only). Wheres the actual app!?!?
